Nipesh Palat Narayanan

Nipesh Palat Narayanan is a research fellow at LaGeS. He did his undergraduate studies in Architecture, postgraduate studies in Urban Design, and PhD in Geography. He has worked on a wide range of architecture and urban projects in India for almost a decade, including development plans, affordable housing, infrastructure planning, and participatory neighbourhood redevelopments. His research focuses on knowledge hegemonies and southern theory, which he enquires using informal practices and culinary cultures in Asian cities. He has done extended fieldwork in India and Sri Lanka. He is also an associate researcher at PACTE- Social Science Research Centre, University of Grenoble Alpes, France, and member of the editorial board of the AAG Review of Books.
